Shaheed Bhai Diala Ji Public School (Sr. Sec.) is an English Medium Co-educational School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, Founded by Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra on 14th of April, 1994, the school aims at imparting quality education and prepares students to face the highly competitive world of today.
The School is named after Shaheed Bhai Diala Ji, a resident of Longowal, who accompanied Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru to Delhi. He too was assassinated a day before the assassination of the ninth Guru in Chandni Chowk by the then Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The teachings of the Gurus have been a great source of inspiration for the school. Divinity is taught as a regular part of the curriculum.
The school conducts classes from nursery to XII with Science and Commerce stream.
The School appoints highly qualified and experienced teachers well-versed with the modern techniques of teaching. Students are regularly given home-assignments which are duly checked. Special home-work periods for classes up to V have also been chalked out.
Parent-Teacher meetings are a regular feature of the school, held after every examination to review the progress of the student and solve their problems after discussion. An almanac provided to each student is a vital link between parents and teachers
The school publishes a news bulletin titled "S.B.D. Times" every year. The publication is a compilation of academics, co-curricular activities, results, children's articles and other school news.
